Concord United Methodist Church began as the Concord Society more than a century and a half ago.  In fact, the church dates 1853 as its birth year,  for it was in that year that land for a church was donated by C. B. Farris and J. O. Sharber.

The church building went through several phases of remodeling and relocation until in 1909 the present structure of Concord United Methodist Church was built and dedicated to the glory of God.

As the Concord and Rockvale communities continued to grow, the Concord United Methodist Church grew in ministry and service, adding to the church building Sunday school rooms and a fellowship hall.

The real history of Concord United Methodist Church is written in the lives and ministries of the several families, some to the third and fourth generation, who have worshipped at Concord and lived out their commitment to Jesus Christ in the community.

Today, the membership of Concord United Methodist Church numbers 48 persons, each of whom has a warm welcome for the friend and visitor who comes to worship the Lord.
